OESA and IBM invite members and guests to attend “Automotive Supplier Jam Town Hall: Break-Away from Status Quo,” on June 13, 2007 at VisTaTech Center at Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Mich. Mahesh Lunani, Automotive Strategy and Change Practice Leader, IBM Corp., will open the session with results from Automotive Supplier Jam held in March 2007. During the Jam, 2,000 individuals from more than 150 organizations contributed 1,500 perspectives and ideas that reflect a number of key themes and potentially support industry change concepts.
The town hall meeting will focus on driving industry change around three priority concepts from the Automotive Supplier Jam. George Perry, President and CEO, Yazaki North America, will address “Breaking the US OEM-Supplier Gridlock.” Jim Orchard, President, Faurecia North America will discuss “Supplier-to-Supplier Coopetition” and Jim McElya, Chairman and CEO, Cooper Standard Automotive will share perspectives on “Re-brand and Re-image to Engage the Next Generation Workforce.”
Moderators that guided the March on-line discussion will share perspectives and discuss solutions to common industry challenges. This panel includes:
Bo Andersson, group vice president, global purchasing and supply chain, General Motors Corporation Jim McElya, chairman and CEO, Cooper Standard Automotive Neil De Koker, president and CEO, Original Equipment Suppliers Association Peter Brown, associate publisher and editorial director, Automotive News Sanjay Rishi, global automotive leader, IBM Global Business Services
The Jam brought together individuals from supplier organizations as well as from OEMs, government, academia, industry associations and others affiliated with the automotive supplier segment -- on-line, in real time.
