OESA invites members and guests to attend a special forum with leadership from three automotive suppliers and IBM Global Business Services to discuss “Building the Successful Enterprise – Where CEOs are Driving the Business” on July 22, 2008, at The Townsend Hotel, Birmingham, Mich.
The 2008 IBM Global CEO Study, “The Enterprise of the Future,” clearly shows that the perception gap between the ability to manage change and the challenges ahead has tripled in the past two years. Mahesh Lunani, automotive strategy practice leader, IBM Corp., will present findings from the global study and compare automotive CEOs views of the future with CEOs from a diverse cross-section of global industries. The survey shows that CEOs will aggressively move toward global integration and radically reconfigure business designs. Four distinguished industry CEOs, each with unique perspectives given their company’s history and strategies, will share views on how they are creating the enterprise of the future. - José Maria Alapont, President and CEO, Federal-Mogul Corporation, is developing a sustainable global profitable growth strategy having restructured through Chapter 11
- Bill Kozyra, chairman and CEO, TI Group Automotive Systems, LLC, is leading a privately owned $3 billion supplier achieve global cost competitiveness while innovating in a rapidly changing market
- Philip Martens, president, light vehicle systems, ArvinMeritor, Inc., is spinning off its light commercial business to increase shareholder value and management focus
- Daniel C. Ustian, chairman, president and CEO, Navistar International Corporation, is leveraging strategic alliances to succeed in hyper-competitive global markets
The panel provides a rich depth of experience to discuss the challenges suppliers have in implementing the success factors identified by over 1,130 CEOs that participated in the study. Success factors include: - CHANGE MASTER: Change is a required management capability
- CUSTOMER COLLABORATOR: Leveraging customer insights creates competitive advantage
- GLOBAL INTEGRATOR: Global integration, not simply globalization, drives financial success
- DIFFERENTIATOR AND DISRUPTOR: Selective disruption for sustainable differentiation
- ADVOCATOR OF GREEN: Green should be integrated into all company activities
