In Michigan Visit, Trump Calls for Americans to Get Back to Work, Expects “Epic” Comeback

President Donald Trump visited Ford’s components plant in Ypsilanti, Mich., on May 21, where he was given a tour of the facility and shown firsthand the company’s commitment to create 50,000 ventilators with GE Healthcare. During the visit, President Trump gave a speech thanking Ford for its efforts.

"Very soon you'll be producing a new ventilator every single minute. It's an amazing achievement," the president said.

As Ford, FCA, and General Motors are beginning to slowly restart operations, President Trump said he is relying on the manufacturing industry to help bring life back to the economy.

"With your help and our policies, this country is poised for an epic comeback," he said.
