The House and the Senate are both in session this week. The House will hold a hearing supervised by the Committee on Oversight and Reform titled “Trump’s Wrong Turn on Clean Cars: The Effects of Fuel Efficiency Rollbacks on the Climate, Car Companies and California.” The hearing will take place on Oct. 29 at 10 am EST at the Rayburn House Office Building.
The Senate will resume consideration for H.R. 3055, passed in the House in late June, which will provide FY2020 appropriations for several federal departments and agencies, including the Department of Transportation, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Department of Agriculture. On Oct. 30 at 10 am EST, the Committee on Environment and Public Works will hold hearings to consider the nomination of Sean O'Donnell to the position of Inspector General for the EPA.
