The Senate is in session this week. House Democratic Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) has indicated no votes are expected this week. The House will instead hold pro forma sessions to give congressional aides time to determine how new remote rules will work.
Today at 10 a.m., the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs will hold a hearing on the Quarterly CARES Act Report to Congress. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin will testify.
On Wednesday, Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Andrew Wheeler will testify before the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee for an oversight hearing on the agency.
Also on Wednesday, the Senate Commerce Committee will markup a number of bills, including, Motor Carrier Safety Grant Relief Act (S. 3729) and the Advanced Technological Manufacturing Act (S. 3704).
Last week, the House passed H. Res. 965 to allow remote voting. This House Rules change took effect immediately.
