Congressional Facility Visits: Securing the Industry's Future

To earn a member of Congress’ support for issues important to the automotive aftermarket, they have to understand our industry and how it affects their district or state. The best way for them to do this is by visiting local facilities and meeting employees.

That’s why facility visits are the most important part of MEMA’s advocacy strategy.

MEMA does the hard work, so you can focus on the handshakes

Hosting a facility visit takes some planning, but the MEMA team provides support, content, and feedback every step of the way so you can focus on engaging with your legislator.

Step 1: Complete our interest form.

Step 2: We then provide all the information you need to schedule your facility visit with your legislator, including a template invitation letter and submission instructions.

Step 3: When a facility visit is on the calendar, we provide the necessary information to prepare for and host your visit. A MEMA team member can also be on site.

Step 4: After your facility visit is completed, we provide template thank-you letters for your legislator and their staff and a feedback form.

Questions? If you have questions about the facility visit process, contact the MEMA DC team via email.
