Next week, MEMA will bring the voices of the motor vehicle supplier industry together in Washington, D.C. to meet with members of Congress and urge them to pass the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) as soon as possible.
The “Pass USMCA!” Legislative Fly-In event will take place on Sept. 11 and will serve as a critical opportunity for company representatives to raise awareness of the USMCA on Capitol Hill. Participants will fly to Washington, D.C., where MEMA will prepare them with essential talking points and background information to share with Congressional lawmakers.
There is no registration fee. However, to help MEMA plan ahead and schedule congressional meetings, interested parties must confirm their place in the “Pass USMCA!” Fly-In by sending completed PDF forms to Leigh Merino at email@example.com.
After the Fly-In, MEMA will host the next Government Affairs Committee (GAC) meeting at the D.C. office on Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST. It is open to members of all of MEMA’s divisions, and those who are in D.C. for the Fly-In are encouraged to attend. The meeting will cover several critical supplier issues including trade, access to vehicle data, vehicle emissions, and more. The agenda can be found here.
