Rebecca Achurch, PgMP, PMP, CSM, CAE

With nearly two decades of non-profit/association management and technology experience, Rebecca has an in-depth knowledge of industry technology solutions and a passion for building long-term and trusted partnerships to help organizations meet their goals. She has a unique ability to align the strategic goals and culture of the organization with the appropriate technology and then can execute a plan to reach those goals. Simply put, she knows how to connect organizations to the “right” technology and understands that people are the key to any successful implementation. She is energized by helping organization’s move forward and by facilitating positive change.
Rebecca consistently demonstrated her unique set of skills during her tenure with the American Chemical Society (ACS). As the Association Management System Program Manager, working remotely, she built and managed a team of more than 15 project managers, business analysts and developers to implement innovative applications for both internal business units and ACS Members. In this capacity Rebecca work with her business partners to prioritize projects, define requirements, evaluate solutions, provide alternatives, articulate tradeoffs, and ultimately deliver the solution that best fit the business need. In just over three years as the AMS Program Mangers, her team launched over 35 projects and initiatives of varying levels of scope and complexity.
As a Project Manager for the ACS, Rebecca led two of the largest and most critical organizational implementations to date – the conversion of the legacy customer relationship management and fulfillment system into two commercial off the shelf, best of bread, applications. Combined, these two organizational initiatives lasted over four years, impacted nearly every department within ACS, and accounted for over 350 million dollars of organizational revenue. Such trust to run these two large projects came from her breadth of knowledge in the industry, her willingness to listen, and her track record of successful implementations. In her eighteen-year experience she has implemented technology systems and/or has direct experience with almost every aspect of a non-profit organization including but not limited to: donors, events, housing, grants, awards, web content, on-line stores, membership, renewals, publications, analytics, education, advocacy, marketing and communications and finance.
Rebecca is experienced in both waterfall and agile project management. Rebecca is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), a Program Management Professional (PgMP), a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Scrum Master (CSM). Rebecca served on the Data Analytics Task Force, a subcommittee of the ASAE Technology Council, and has presented on project management, business intelligence, and teambuilding—among other topics--at industry conferences. Rebecca graduated from DePauw University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and a minor in Philosophy.
