CoRE ReThink Tank

The Council of Remanufacturing Excellence (CoRE) ReThink Tank is a member-driven working group whose goal is to increase demand for remanufactured products through focused, collaborative efforts across the industry. Participation in the ReThink Tank is free to all CoRE members, encouraging broad engagement and diverse perspectives from across the remanufacturing community. Guided by the CoRE executive committee, the ReThink Tank meets monthly  serves as an idea engine for addressing industry challenges, elevating awareness, and strengthening the value proposition of remanufacturing.

    2026 ReThink Tank Project

    In its second year, the ReThink Tank is shifting its focus toward the future of remanufacturing by developing educational resources for a variety of audiences to clearly communicate and showcase the value of remanufacturing. The group meets virtually on a monthly basis, allowing members to collaborate efficiently while maintaining consistent momentum. Through this work, the ReThink Tank supports CoRE’s broader mission by strengthening industry understanding, encouraging collaboration, and reinforcing the role of remanufactured products within the automotive aftermarket ecosystem.

    2025 - The CoRE ReThink Tank's inaugural project delivered the first cumulative listing of remanufacturing history for the vehicle component industry, creating a shared historical record that underscores the depth, evolution, and impact of remanufacturing.
