AASA Mexico Technology Summit Addresses the Use of Technology to Advance the Latin American Aftermarket

MEXICO CITY -- The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) addressed the use of technology to advance the Latin American automotive aftermarket at its Mexico Technology Summit here today during INA PAACE Automechanika in Mexico City. INA PAACE Automechanika is co-owned by the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), AASA’s parent association, and the 2019 event is expected to attract more than 500 exhibiting companies and 20,000 attendees from 33 countries.
 
The AASA Mexico Technology Summit was focused on advancing the use of technology to grow Latin America’s aftermarket business. Attendees included suppliers, technology providers, warehouse distributors, retailers and repair shops in Mexico and Latin America.
 
AASA Senior Vice President Chris Gardner opened the event and highlighted its key discussion topics. Presentations and speakers included:
 

  • “Data Standardization and E-commerce in Mexico, U.S. and Europe” -- Fernando Murguia Izaguirre, managing director, TecAlliance de México
  • “Product and Application Data for the Mexican Aftermarket” -- Scott Tompkins, senior product manager, Epicor Software
  • “Data Analytics: Fastest Way to Fast Growth” -- Gerardo San Román, head of Latin America, JATO
