AASA Vision Conference Achieved Near Record-Setting Attendance as Aftermarket Professionals Joined the Industry’s First Virtual Conference

The annual executive outlook conference transitioned to a digital experience to prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of attendees and speakers amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Date: April 02, 2020

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – The annual AASA Vision Conference attracted near record-setting attendance in its new format as a digital experience for aftermarket executives. The conference, which was originally scheduled for March 26 in Rosemont, Ill., took place virtually from March 25 – 27, 2020. More than 245 aftermarket professionals joined the conference, marking a historic milestone for the automotive aftermarket’s first virtual conference.

“We all know this is a relationship industry, and we accomplish the most when we are together,” said Paul McCarthy, AASA President & COO. “The 2020 AASA Vision Conference could not happen in-person this year, but our association, with the support of our sponsors, were still able to bring the industry together to share crucial insights during this challenging time.”

The Vision Conference’s three-day format enabled attendees to experience a focused, content-rich, and interactive exchange of ideas. The schedule enabled attendees to access all the originally scheduled speakers and subject matter experts.

The conference covered a range of crucial aftermarket issues, including:

  • Supply chain disruption
  • The impact of the coronavirus
  • Investment community insights on aftermarket distributors
  • Vehicle data access
  • Global sourcing trends in a post-trade war environment
  • Supplier and channel partner innovation and collaboration
  • Hybrid distribution models
  • Government action on the coronavirus
  • Collaborating with repair shops
  • Aftermarket advocacy
  • Electrification
  • The rise of internal computing engines

Epicor Software Corporation was the premier sponsor of the 2020 AASA Vision Conference, and other sponsors included: N.A. Williams Co., Inc., Corcentric, Plante Moran PLLC, Robert Bosch LLC, Tasco Sales Reps, OptiCat, Experian Automotive, MontAd Media, IHS Markit, Snap36, Surys, Classy Llama, Paramount Data Management GmbH, APA Search Inc, Rightsize, NPD, and Your Car.
