Ahead of the Curve: Q1 Inside MEMA OE Councils

What’s New & What’s Next
Date: March 07, 2026
Keiyania Campbell

By: Keiyania Campbell, Director, Councils, MEMA. Original Equipment Suppliers

The automotive supplier community continues to lead through change, and the MEMA OE Suppliers councils are helping leaders do it with confidence, connection and clarity.

This quarter, we’re excited to spotlight three newly rebranded executive councils designed to strengthen peer engagement, elevate supplier priorities and create trusted spaces for candid dialogue on the issues shaping the industry.

Automotive Executive Council (AEC) – formerly CEO Council

The Automotive Executive Council convenes C-suite executives (CEO, COO), presidents and regional P&L leaders from across the automotive supplier community to address the strategic issues shaping the industry’s future. This confidential, peer-driven forum enables senior decision-makers to exchange insights, align on shared challenges and influence long-term industry direction.

A distinguishing feature of the council is direct engagement with OEM customers, enabling candid, cross-value-chain dialogue on priorities, expectations and future direction. Through trusted collaboration, members focus on innovation, competitiveness, workforce evolution and market dynamics, all driving informed decisions and collective impact.

If you are interested in participating in AEC, please contact Collin Shaw or Michelle Russo.

Finance Executive Council (FEC) – formerly Finance Leadership Council

The Finance Executive Council brings together senior finance executives from across the automotive supplier community to collaborate on the financial, operational and strategic issues shaping the industry. This confidential, peer-driven forum supports informed decision-making in an increasingly volatile and capital-intensive environment.

Members engage in high-level discussions on financial strategy, capital planning, risk management, compliance and performance optimization, all aimed at driving long-term value and enhancing organizational resilience.

If you are interested in participating in FEC, please contact Mike Jackson or Simone Vaughn.

Purchasing Executive Council (PEC) – formerly Chief Purchasing Officers Council

The Purchasing Executive Council convenes senior executives responsible for purchasing and supply chain strategy across the automotive supplier community. This confidential, peer-driven forum enables members to exchange insights, recognize shared challenges and strengthen sourcing resilience in a complex global environment.

Through candid dialogue and trusted collaboration, executives address supplier relationships, cost pressures, risk management and procurement innovation. Members join to discover new ideas and gain applied experience from trusted peers to power teams forward.

If you are interested in participating in PEC, please contact Mike Jackson or Simone Vaughn.
