Ahead of the Curve: Q3 President's Update
This quarter has been defined by strong advocacy and meaningful member engagement. MEMA OE has remained at the forefront of critical policy discussions, particularly as the Administration advances multiple Section 232 investigations and trade initiatives. We have actively engaged with the Department of Commerce, Congress and partner associations to ensure supplier priorities are heard on tariffs, reciprocal trade measures and the upcoming USMCA review. Through our Government Affairs Committee, targeted coalition work and member-driven surveys, we are building the data and positions necessary to protect competitiveness and reduce burdens on the supply base.
At the same time, member participation has reinforced MEMA’s position as the leading voice for our industry. CEO Council attendance reached near-record levels and the Terms & Conditions once again delivered exceptional insights for suppliers. These results demonstrate the value of MEMA programming and the confidence you place in us.
Looking ahead, the USMCA review in 2026 will be a pivotal moment for our industry. MEMA is preparing now to ensure that the agreement continues to deliver stability, investment and growth for suppliers across North America. We will highlight the successes of the current framework while advocating for improvements that reflect today’s supply chain challenges. Member engagement will be critical in shaping our testimony, data and messaging, and we will be calling on you to lend your expertise as we enter this next phase of dialogue with policymakers.
As we close the quarter, I want to thank you for your continued trust and engagement. Your decision to prioritize MEMA engagement gives our collective voice credibility and strength. Together, we are shaping outcomes that will keep the supplier industry competitive in North America.
