Butzel Adds Tariffs Roundup Page to Tariff and Trade Resource Center
August 2025
Butzel launched a new Tariffs Roundup page to its Tariff and Trade Resource Center. The Tariffs Roundup is a go-to resource for basic information about all of the major tariff actions that are in effect or may be upcoming, consisting of tables that generally summarize:
- The official tariff actions that are currently in effect or have already been taken,
- Reciprocal tariff increases and adjustments effective August 7 on products from 66 countries and territories plus the European Union, and
- Other potential and upcoming tariff developments.
The Tariffs Roundup reflects the flurry of trade announcements including the August 6, 2025, Executive Order imposing an additional 25% tariff on India effective August 27, 2025, based on a national emergency relating to India’s imports of oil from the Russian Federation under the International Economic Emergency Powers Act (IEEPA). This tariff will be in addition to the 25% IEEPA reciprocal tariff on India that will take effect today, bringing the total tariff on most Indian imports to 50%.
The Executive Order also indicates that the President may impose an additional 25% tariff on other countries that import Russian oil.
The Butzel International Trade, Tariffs and Customs Specialty Team is available to assist in dealing with tariffs and related issues. Please visit our Tariff and Trade Resource Center for additional up-to-date news on tariffs, trade, and business implications.
