Jeffrey O'Hara of East Penn Manufacturing and Ted Hess of Alliant Power received their certificates at the MiX meeting on April 1, 2025 in Chicago.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers announced that Jeffrey O'Hara, senior director of product management at East Penn Manufacturing, earned the Modern Industry eXpertise (MiX) Certification. The MiX certification reflects demonstrated excellence in fostering leadership, mentorship and professional development within the automotive aftermarket industry.

A MiX member since 2017 and a former member of the MiX executive board, O'Hara has exemplified these leadership, mentorship and professional development qualities throughout his career. His dedication to the industry is highlighted by his perfect attendance of in-person MiX meetings, alongside his active participation in the council's initiatives.

Additionally, O'Hara co-authored several influential white papers, including the MiX-produced "5 Topics CEOs Just Don't Understand," showcasing leadership in addressing key industry challenges. He also has participated in past Vision Conferences and AAPEX since 2017, creating valuable connections that advance the industry.

Outside of the vehicle supplier industry, O'Hara has also made significant contributions to his community, serving as a long-time supporter of the United Way of Berks County, Penn. and participating in their annual drive since 2010.

"It's an honor to receive the MiX Certification and be recognized among peers who are just as passionate about the future of this industry," O'Hara said. "MiX has been an incredible platform for sharing ideas, building lasting connections and helping others grow. I'm proud to contribute to a community that’s shaping what’s next for the aftermarket."

The MiX Certification Program is a comprehensive approach to fostering professional development, leadership skills, active industry participation, and a strong commitment to the core values that drive the industry forward. It is a well-rounded approach to individual growth and community impact, evaluating candidates across several competencies and requiring a demonstration of dedication, leadership, and commitment to industry advancement.
