Green Shoe Day Highlighting Remanufacturing Returns to AAPEX 2025

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers announced it is continuing the annual Green Shoe Day tradition of wearing green "Chucks" on Wednesday, November 5 during AAPEX 2025 in Las Vegas.
All companies exhibiting at AAPEX—whether they're in the "Remanufacturing: Sustainable Manufacturing" section of the show floor or not—are encouraged to wear green shoes that day. The tradition reinforces the aftermarket's dedication to remanufacturing, eco-friendly manufacturing and resource conservation and helps spark conversation and awareness throughout AAPEX 2025.
"We wear green shoes to show that we walk the talk on sustainability," said John Chalifoux, chief operating officer of MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers and chief sustainability officer at MEMA, The Vehicle Suppliers Association. "Green Shoe Day is more than a fun tradition; it's a visible commitment by our industry to remanufacturing, sustainable practices and environmental stewardship. By participating, companies demonstrate that sustainability is a priority in both their operations and their culture."
MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers recommends Converse All Stars (available in high tops or low tops) for Green Shoe Day. Attendees are encouraged to stop by the MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers booth in the Remanufacturing: Sustainable Manufacturing section (Level 2, A4665) on Wednesday.
