Heavy Duty Content Grows at AASA Technology Conference

AASA Technology Conference Sees Growth in Heavy Duty Business Technology
Date: September 06, 2019

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – The AASA Technology Council (ATC) board of governors has planned for an increased focus on heavy duty content during the 2019 AASA Technology Conference, which will take place Sep. 29 – Oct. 1 in Boca Raton, Fla.

Elements with a commercial vehicle aftermarket technology focus include:

  • Keynote presentation by Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems

  • Heavy Duty Technology Track sponsored by OptiCat

  • Heavy Duty standards meeting by Pricedex Software

  • Sponsored Luncheon and announcement by TieKinetix and HDA Truck Pride

“There is a surprising amount of safety technology available in the heavy duty marketplace,” said Marylou Hornung, director of sales operations, Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems. “The Technology Conference will showcase what’s happening and how it works. It is a must-attend event for all technology professionals in the aftermarket.”

The ATC board elected to add these elements because much of the technology used for supply chain, ordering, cataloging, and transactions translates to both the automotive and heavy duty markets; in addition, many of the solution providers are the same for both channels. The expanded heavy duty content will be presented alongside other topics of interest in the aftermarket such as digital marketing, ecommerce, IT, and vehicle and parts data.
