Manufactured Again™ Certification Mark Now Trademarked in Canada

Milestone expands global recognition of leading remanufacturing quality certification program
Date: September 16, 2025

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers is proud to announce that the Manufactured Again™ Certification Mark is now trademarked in Canada, further expanding its global recognition. The Mark, which confirms the remanufacturing process is held to the same international quality standards as new manufacturing, is also trademarked in the United States, China and Malaysia.

The Manufactured Again™ Certification program—administered by MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers—promotes quality, value and environmental responsibility across the remanufacturing industry and is based on ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, two internationally recognized quality management system standards. ISO 9001 can be used by any organization, large or small, in any industry. IATF 16949 is a supplement to ISO 9001 and is widely recognized in the automotive industry.

"This trademark in Canada marks another important step in our mission to elevate and mainstream remanufacturing on a global scale," said John Chalifoux, chief operating officer of MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers. "Manufactured Again Certification gives our members a powerful way to demonstrate that remanufactured products deliver both quality and environmental benefits."

Participating companies across North America have embraced the program as a way to reinforce their commitment to customers, partners and the planet. The Mark reflects the program's core promise "Quality Plus SustainabilityTM"—maintaining the commitment to a remanufacturing process that delivers quality while supporting environmental stewardship.

"Manufactured Again Certification is a powerful way to showcase that remanufacturing delivers the same quality as new manufacturing while advancing sustainability," said Mario Garza, vice president of category management at Motorcar Parts of America. "This milestone in Canada further strengthens the trust and confidence we provide to our customers worldwide."
