RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers is excited to announce that M&D, a leading remanufacturer of fuel system components, had three facilities approved for participation in the Manufactured Again™ Certification program. The facilities are in Bolingbrook, Ill., Saginaw, Mich. and Monterrey, Mexico.

"For more than 80 years, M&D has specialized in returning fuel injectors, pumps, cylinder heads and turbochargers to like-new, and in some cases, better than the original quality, using proprietary tools, advanced systems and unmatched technical expertise," said Fernando Diez, vice president of manufacturing at M&D. "Having the Manufactured Again Certification across three of our facilities validates the quality of our processes and the trust our customers place in us."

Manufactured Again Certification establishes that remanufacturing is held to the same international quality standards as new manufacturing. Participating companies communicate this by displaying the Certification Mark on their product packaging and in their marketing and communications.

"We are thrilled to welcome M&D to the Manufactured Again Certification program," said Sara Kaderly, director of programming and remanufacturing lead at MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers. "M&D is joining a growing number of remanufacturing companies in our program focused on quality plus sustainability™."

The Manufactured Again Certification program, administered by MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers, is based on ISO 9001 and IATF 16949—two internationally recognized quality management system standards. ISO 9001 can be used by any organization, large or small, in any industry. IATF 16949 is a supplement to ISO 9001 and is widely recognized in the automotive industry.
