MEMA Appoints Jennifer A. Lewis as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs
WASHINGTON, D.C. — MEMA, The Vehicle Suppliers Association is pleased to announce that Jennifer A. Lewis has joined the

organization as vice president of regulatory affairs. With nearly 20 years of experience in federal regulatory enforcement and policy, Lewis will play a key role in advancing MEMA’s engagement on regulatory matters impacting the motor vehicle supplier industry.
Lewis joins MEMA following a distinguished career at the Federal Communications Commission, including serving as a senior attorney and assistant division chief in the Enforcement Bureau. Lewis led precedent-setting investigations and enforcement actions related to data privacy, media compliance and communications law — working with major media and technology companies and negotiating complex settlements that helped shape federal policy.
In her new role, Lewis will work closely with Ana Meuwissen, senior vice president of government affairs at MEMA, to lead regulatory strategy and engagement. She will represent supplier interests before federal agencies and support members as they navigate evolving regulatory landscapes in areas such as vehicle safety, data governance, new technology adoption, and cybersecurity.
“Jennifer’s experience at the intersection of law, technology and public policy makes her a tremendous asset to MEMA and its members,” Meuwissen said. “Her deep knowledge of the regulatory process and her track record of building consensus in complex legal environments will strengthen MEMA’s voice as we continue to engage on critical issues shaping the future of mobility.”
Lewis holds a Juris Doctor from American University’s Washington College of Law and a Master of Business Administration in global information technology from American University’s Kogod School of Business. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and government from Georgetown University and is admitted to the bar in both the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is also proficient in Spanish.
MEMA welcomes Lewis to the team and looks forward to her leadership as the association deepens its focus on regulatory challenges and opportunities in an increasingly connected and rapidly evolving mobility landscape.
