Date: September 27, 2023

Research Triangle Park, NC – Leaders in the remanufacturing community will gather in Atlanta for the MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers Remanufacturing Annual Conference on Oct. 11-12, 2023 at the Genuine Parts Company (GPC) Headquarters in Atlanta, Ga.

“This year’s conference will feature extraordinary speakers, from remanufacturing and core supplier leaders to an AI expert and the person responsible for reverse logistics at The Home Depot,” said John Chalifoux, chief operating officer of MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers. “When you add in the dynamic networking opportunities that the remanufacturing community has come to expect, our 2023 Remanufacturing Annual Conference is a must-attend event.”

Agenda highlights include:

The Critical Role of Remanufacturing in an Expanding Circular Economy: The Remanufacturers

The remanufacturing process plays a vital role in society's quest for a global circular economy. It is the upcycling of high-value core material that yields products that are like-new, but better. Leading remanufacturers will discuss key trends and share their views of the marketplace—customer perception, artificial intelligence, and the changing technology landscape—and more as we move to more complex and electrified vehicles. Confirmed panelists include:

  • Carl Fletcher – Leader – Remanufacturing Product Development, Navistar
  • Mike Muscat – Remanufacturing & Service Center Network Manager, Continental
  • Moderator: John Chalifoux

The Critical Role of Remanufacturing in an Expanding Circular Economy: The Core Suppliers

Core material is the lifeblood of the remanufacturing process. The leading players in the core supply industry will discuss key trends and their views of the marketplace—core availability, part proliferation, the changing technology landscape—and more. Confirmed panelists include:

  • Ernie Flurry – President, MaxCore Industries
  • Bob Grady – President, Rebuilders Automotive Cores
  • Justin Greenberg – CEO, DieselCore
  • Derek McWhorter – President, River City Truck Parts
  • Moderator: John Chalifoux

Utilizing AI to Improve Quality & Sustainability

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is escalating quickly. Learn how manufacturers are under pressure to improve quality operations, reduce supply chain risk, and drive productivity for a new generation of workers. Rick Oppedisano, president and CEO of Delta Bravo, will share real-life examples of how companies like Trane, Nucor Steel, and Rolls-Royce are utilizing AI to improve quality, design, workforce training, and productivity.

Maximizing Value in Reverse Logistics: How Doers Get More Done™ at The Home Depot

Hear how The Home Depot maximizes value in their reverse logistics operations with guest speaker Troy Campbell, director, Reverse Logistics Center Operations, The Home Depot. In his role at The Home Depot, Campbell is responsible for four return centers throughout the U.S. that support the returns of over $1.7 billion in COGS and over $170 million of liquidation sales. With over 30 years in the logistics field, Troy will share best practices and his insights on this critical function. This fireside chat style session will be facilitated by Cathy Roberson, research manager, Reverse Logistics Association (RLA), the global trade association for the reverse logistics industry.
