The RepairSmith vice president of data science will share insights on the intersection between vehicle technologies and identifying the right parts to service the vehicles
Date: August 27, 2020

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.  –  The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) will host a special virtual edition of its annual AASA Technology Conference and will feature a panel of industry experts who will discuss the adoption of new vehicle technologies. Dr. Alison Burham, Vice President of Data Science, RepairSmith will share her insights on the intersection of vehicle technologies and aftermarket business processes, focusing on the use of telematics data to understand the service and parts needs of a fleet of passenger vehicles. Dr. Burham will join executives from Otonomo and Pitstop on the session panel.

“With new vehicle technologies come lots of new and changing customer expectations. The automotive aftermarket will need to keep up in order to keep growing and remain competitive,” said Dr. Burham. “I’m looking forward to joining a great panel at the AASA Technology Conference to dive into this crucial topic.”

Dr. Burham has more than 25 years of experience applying data and analytics to a wide variety of applications including CRM, predictive analytics, business intelligence, loyalty programs, and credit risk analysis. During that time she has worked in a diversity of verticals across both B2B and B2C clients, including Chico’s FAS (Fashion Retail), ScoreBig (Ticketing), Emotely (Social Networking), TD Bank, JP Morgan Chase, GE Capital, Esso, GM, Kraft, NBA and FedEx.

Dr. Burham has a PhD in Mathematics and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Chemical Engineering from McMaster University in Hamilton. She currently is leading the data science team at RepairSmith Inc., a mobile auto-repair start-up powered by technology and analytics.

The 2020 AASA Technology Conference is the aftermarket’s business technology event. It brings together the brightest minds in aftermarket business technology for a series of invaluable sessions, panels, and round-table discussions covering the latest trends within the aftermarket technology community, including business processes, IT, part data, vehicle data, and more.
