John Lebel

John Lebel is Strategic Partnership Director for Karmak, Inc, a position he has held since 2014.  He has an extensive career spanning over 40 years in the Commercial Vehicle industry, creating innovative software solutions for medium and heavy duty truck, trailer, engine, bus, and equipment manufacturers, dealers, parts distributors, service, and lease and rental facilities.

John has spent his career at Karmak, starting in 1982 as a Programmer-Analyst, and has progressively served as Director of Software Development, Product Architect, Director of Research and Design, and was ultimately appointed CTO and served in that position from 2008 to 2014.

John brings a deep technical background to the HDeC, having led the development of Karmak’s first e-Commerce solution for the HD aftermarket over a decade ago.  He has also been active with industry stakeholders in various industry associations and events, including HDAW, HDDA, HDA Truck Pride, CVSN, NADA/ATD, VIPAR, TMC, and has actively participated in the major OEM truck and trailer dealer parts and service meetings.

In addition to his extension technology background and education, John is also a graduate of the joint Dealer Candidate Academy of the National Automotive Dealers Association (NADA) & the American Truck Dealers (ATD).  John was also recognized as an important proactive participant and collaborator in the establishment of the Heavy Duty Product Information Standards, a project spearheaded by the HDDA.
