USTR Receiving Comments on Priority Watch List Countries - Member Input Requested

Date: January 8, 2019

Each year, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) conducts a Special 301 review on key challenges facing U.S. stakeholders related to global intellectual property protection, with a comment submission deadline of Feb. 7, 2019. This is the annual report that USTR uses to call on trading partners to remove barriers to protecting IP globally.

MEMA is requesting input from members about a possible submission to USTR. Please share any input you have on country-specific IP challenges facing your companies and organizations. Where possible, we would appreciate any specific language that you may have, as well as specific recommendations for how specific countries might be placed in this year’s report (Priority Watch List, Watch List, or non-designated). You can find last year’s report here.  For more information or to share information regarding IP changes your company is facing, please contact Catherine Boland.
