This Week in Congress

Both Chambers of Congress are in session this week before their scheduled recess next week. The Senate will resume business as normal after the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump. The Trump Administration unveiled their budget request on Monday. As a result, administration officials will begin testifying in front of committees of jurisdiction to discuss the proposal.

Today, the House Energy and Commerce Consumer Protection and Commerce Subcommittee will hold a hearing automated vehicles at 10 am. The  Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Environment and Climate Change will hear the EPA’s Lead and Copper Proposal: Failing to Protect Public Health at 10:00 am. Additionally, the Senate Judiciary Intellectual Property Subcommittee will review the effects of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act at 2:30 pm.
