Aftermarket Essential Businesses Face Inconsistencies

The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), in response to states issuing “shelter-in-place” orders that conflict with the Department of Homeland Security’s definition of automotive parts manufacturers and repair facilities as “essential” businesses, is working alongside suppliers to maintain their right to operate.

“Bottom line, this country and our economy need appropriate aftermarket facilities, and jobs, to continue in a responsible manner,” said AASA President and COO Paul McCarthy. “We continue to fight hard for our industry and the supplier community in these challenging circumstances.”
