U.S. Closes Borders with Canada and Mexico to Nonessential Travel

In an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the U.S. and Canada announced on March 18 that they would close their borders to non-essential travel, with trade being excepted. Two days later, President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. and Mexico would close their borders to non-essential travel, with trade purposes excepted.
