The House and the Senate are both in session this week. They will be voting on a continuing resolution to fund the government through December 20.
The Senate Commerce Committee will hold a hearing on “Highly Automated Vehicles: Federal Perspectives on the Deployment of Safety Technology” on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The witnesses are Robert Sumwalt, Chairman, National Transportation Safety Board; Joel Szabat, Acting Under Secretary of Transportation for Policy, U.S. Department of Transportation; and Dr. James Owens, Acting Administrator, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Also on Wednesday, the House Ways and Means Committee’s Trade Subcommittee will have a hearing regarding the US-Japan agreement.
