MEMA is hosting a new fly-in event in Washington, D.C. from Oct. 23-24 to urge the Trump administration to not impose Section 232 tariffs on imported autos and auto parts. These tariffs, if imposed, would severely hurt economic growth for the auto industry in the U.S. as well as our trade relations with nations across the globe.
The event will begin in the morning of Oct. 23 with a policy briefing that will be webcast live from the National Press Club. This will be followed by Hill meetings throughout the rest of the day and into the morning of Oct. 24. We encourage members to register for the event and urge legislators on Capitol Hill to oppose these tariffs. For more information, please contact Catherine Boland.
