Andrew Wheeler was confirmed as administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency late last week by a Senate vote of 52 to 47. The vote was mainly along party lines. A former lobbyist in the energy industry, Wheeler has been the acting administrator at EPA since July 2018 when his predecessor Scott Pruitt resigned. Since then, Wheeler has advanced President trump’s anti-regulatory agenda.
